Types of Body Piercing

Navel (belly button) and nipple are the most common types of piercing on the upper torso but there are a lot more options .Any body part can be pierced where a flap of skin can be punctured with a hole and fitted with a post ,barbell, hoop, or other piece of jewellery.  We’ve outlined some of the  piercing options below.

Piercing Locations on the Body

Belly Button Piercing

Belly button piercings run vertically through the top or bottom of the belly button. Age 16 with ID. Healing time 6-12 months. Downsize 6 months

Nipple Piercing

A piercing through the nipple(s).Age 18 with ID. Healing time 6-9 months single, 9-12 months double.

Nape Piercing–

A nape piercing is a surface piercing that runs through the back of the neck. Age 18 with ID. Healing time 6-12 months

Sternum Piercing–

A surface piercing located in the centre of your chest. A sternum piercing is a microdermal or a surface piercing, depending on your anatomy. Age 18 with ID. Healing time 6-12 months

Back Piercing

A surface piercing typically located on the lower back. Usually these piercings are done in pairs to obtain symmetry and are sometimes referred to as “back dimple piercings.”Age 18 with ID. Healing time 6-12 months

Microdermal Piercing (Dermal Piercing)

A surface piercing that lies on any flat surface of the body. A microdermal piercing requires an anchor that is installed under the skin. Some popular dermal piercings include hip piercings, sternum piercings (chest piercing or cleavage piercing), corset piercings, wrist piercings, collarbone piercings and more. Age 18 with ID. Healing time 6-12 months

Piercing Locations on the Ear

Helix –

A standard helix piercing is a cartilage piercing in your upper outer ear, inside the ridge. Most people can have multiple helix piercings in the same ear. Minimum Age 16 with ID or 14 with a parent present. (both must have ID) Healing time 4-8 months. Flat downsize 8 weeks

Forward Helix –

A forward helix cartilage piercing sits in your upper ear curve, close to where it meets your face. Most people can have multiple forward helix piercings in the same ear. Minimum Age 16 with ID. Healing time 6-9 months

Snug –

A snug piercing (also known as an anti-helix) is a horizontal inner cartilage piercing near the centre of the ear, adjacent to the ear canal. Snug piercings are popular but are not suitable for everyone.  Minimum Age 16 with ID. Healing time 6-12 months

Rook –

A rook piercing is a horizontal cartilage piercing on your upper inner ear in the anti-helix, above the daith and ear canal. Minimum Age 16 with ID .  Healing time 6-9 months

Daith –

A daith piercing is positioned immediately above your ear canal in the smallest fold of cartilage where the outer ridge connects to your inner ear. A hoop looks great in a daith piercing. Minimum Age 16 with ID . Healing time 6-12 months

Inner Conch –

An inner conch piercing is a cartilage piercing in the shell shaped part of your ear. A small stud sits neatly in the cupped area of your ear just below the rook. Minimum Age 16 with ID. Healing time 6-9 months

Outer Conch –

An outer conch cartilage piercing sits midway up the ear in the cupped area outside of your ear canal, below the inner conch. Many people with this piercing choose to wear a hoop which ‘hugs’ the outer ear.  Minimum Age 16 with ID. Healing time is 6-9 months

Tragus –

A tragus cartilage piercing sits immediately in front of the ear canal close to your cheek. This is one of the most popular piercing types.   Minimum Age 16 with ID. Healing time 6-9 months

Anti-Tragus –

An anti-tragus piercing is a cartilage piercing on the opposite side of the tragus, on the ridge immediately above your earlobe. Not everyone can have an anti-tragus piercing.  Minimum Age 16 with ID. Healing time 6-12 months

Lobe –

The most popular location for ear piercings, the lobe area is wide enough to hold several piercings. Most kinds of earrings can be worn here after the piercing has healed. There is no cartilage in the ear lobe, making this style of piercing notably less painful than cartilage piercings. Minimum Age 16 with ID or 8 with a  parent present. (both must have ID)  Healing time 8-12 weeks single. 10-14 weeks double.

Industrial Horizontal/Vertical –

Industrial Horizontal/Vertical – The scaffold or industrial piercing is really two piercings in one. In a horizontal Industrial an outer helix piercing connected to a forward helix piercing by a straight barbell while in a vertical industrial the two connecting piercings are vertical using different points on the ear according to the anatomy of the ear.   Minimum Age 16 with ID. Healing time 6-12 months

Piercing Locations on the Face

Eyebrow Piercing

A vertical surface piercing inserted through the bottom of the eyebrow and exiting through the top of the eyebrow. Minimum Age 16 with ID. Healing time 10 –12 weeks

Anti-Eyebrow Piercing (Cheekbone Piercing)

Placed above the cheekbone or below the eyebrow. This piercing is considered a surface piercing and can be vertical or horizontal depending on the individual’s preference. Minimum Age 18 with ID. Healing time 3-6 months

Bridge Piercing –

A piercing placed through the skin on the bridge of the nose, directly between the eyes. A bridge piercing is also considered a surface piercing and has a higher risk of rejection and scarring. Minimum Age 18 with ID. Healing time 4-9 months

Vertical Piercing 

A vertical labret piercing has two puncture points that go directly through your lower lip. The piercing needle is inserted vertically through your bottom lip and exits through the skin below the lip. Minimum Age 18 with ID. Healing time 4-6 months. Downsize 4 weeks.

Jestrum Piercing –

Also known as a vertical medusa piercing, a jestrum piercing is an upper lip piercing located in the center of the upper lip, just under the septum of the nose. Age 16 with ID. Healing time 4-6 months

Labret Piercing –

A labret piercing is typically identified as any type of piercing located on the bottom labrum (lip). Usually, a labret piercing is classified as a piercing in the center of the bottom lip, just above the chin, and is also known as a “tongue pillar piercing” or a “soul patch piercing.” Multiple labret piercings can give you snake bite piercings, shark bite piercings, and spider bite piercings depending on how many holes you have. Age 16 with ID. Healing time 3-6 months single, 6-8 months double. Downsize 4 weeks

Madonna Piercing –

A Madonna piercing is located on the right side of the upper lip. A Madonna piercing resembles the beauty mark of the famous singer, Madonna. Age 16 with ID. Healing time up to 12 months

Monroe Piercing –

A Monroe piercing is located on the left side of the upper lip. This piercing resembles Marilyn Monroe’s famous beauty mark. Age 16 with ID. Healing time up to 12 months

Philtrum Piercing –

A philtrum piercing is similar to the jestrum piercing, but features only one hole through the centre of the upper lip. This can also be called a Medusa piercing.Age 18 with ID. Healing time 6-12 months. Downsize 4-6 weeks

Tongue Piercing –

A vertical piercing through the center of the tongue. Minimum Age 18 with ID. Healing time 3-6 months. 1st downsize 4 weeks.

Septum Piercing –

Also known as a bull piercing, a septum piercing runs through the cartilaginous wall that divides both nostrils. A septum piercing doesn’t normally go through the actual cartilage inside of your nose, but more so through the skin that divides the cartilage and the nostril openings. Minimum Age 16 with ID. Healing time 4-6 months

High Nostril Piercing –

Similar to a nostril piercing, this piercing is located on the higher end of the nasal bridge. Minimum Age 16 with ID. Healing time 4-6 months without a mask. Otherwise 6-9 months

Nostril Piercing –

A piercing through the centre of either nostril. Minimum Age 16 with ID. Healing time 4-6 months without a mask. Otherwise 6-9 months

All piercing prices included basic Implant grade hi polished titanium jewellery.  Aftercare products are not included but may be purchased separately.

All customers who appear to be underage will be asked for proof of age or to have a parent present: in addition, parents and minors must both provide ID for parental consent. (birth Cert is sufficient in the case of a minor)

Passports, Driving Licences, National ID card and Garda Age Cards are the only ID types accepted. ORIGINAL DOCUMENTS ONLY. PHOTOCOPIES/PHOTOGRAPHS ARE NOT EXCEPTED. NO EXCEPTIONS WILL BE MADE
